Basic information for Prospective Parent Volunteers:
Training ONLINE courses do not take up that much time they make it very convenient to get involved.

Register online at MyScouting.org
Even if you don't want to take on a particular position within the Pack as a leader we encourage you to register at MyScouting.org and view the "This is Scouting" video---this is pretty quick and it's a nice overview.
1) Check out the THIS IS SCOUTING video once you register- this will give you the basics
2) Youth Protection is a required section for all registered leaders
3) FastStart Orientation for various positions are on the eLearning page.
4) Position specific training is typically at the District level.

We have several committees and positions that need to be filled this coming year.
The Pack Committee desires to ensure good succession planning, and a smooth transition means NEW leaders will have an easier time and all our families will have fun!
Please contact the Cubmaster if you have any interest in chairing or assisiting in one of the following commitees:
Committee Chairperson
· Reserves rooms at Center Street for meetings & activities; Runs parent meetings; Coordinates with all committee personnel
Gym Night
· Runs gym night activities & is responsible for gym equipment
Registration
· Keeps master list of scouts in pack current
Treasurer
· Responsible for all funds, check deposits, payments for activities, reimbursals, etc.
Secretary
· Takes minutes at parent meetings, Records attendance at parent/pack meetings, Writes agendas for meetings, Keeps records of medical release forms, etc.
Advancement
· Works with den leaders to keep records of scout advancement, awards, and patches; Verifies handbooks are signed off and approved
Fundraising
· Responsible for all non‐popcorn fundraising activities & Arranges Blue & Gold dinner auctions
Moving Up Ceremony (June)
· Reserves campsite in January/February for June ceremony date
Good Turn
· In charge of Good Turns at Pack nights
Pinewood Derby
· Distributes derby kits; Works with Cub Pack 202 to schedule date of derby; Helps set up and disassemble track before & after race
Blue & Gold Banquet
· Reserves & Sets up hall for event; Books DJ, orders food, etc. for event; Coordinates with fundraising committee for auctions
Training
· Verifies that all leaders are trained and training is up‐to‐date; Compiles all training records; Coordinates training paperwork and activities with district
Outings
· Selects ideas and location for pack outings and (non‐camping) activities; Coordinates attendance, transportation, payments as necessary; Verifies all required medical forms and releases are received
Camping
· Plans camping activities; Rents campsite; Coordinates transportation, permits, payment for campsite use as necessary; Coordinates purchase of food; Ensures pack camping equipment is brought to campgrounds
Note: Committee Members may be required to attend district roundtable meetings as appropriate.
